In addition to executing traditional government relations engagements such as issue analysis and lobbying, projects and highlights have included securing more than $2 million in grant funds for clients, creating and executing organizational turnaround strategies and writing issue papers for political candidates.

***** is a registered lobbyist with the State of Illinois and when necessary, the City of Chicago. In terms of education, he has a B. S. degree in journalism from Northwestern University with post-graduate work in political-science. His professional affiliations include the Chicago Area Public Affairs Group, the Chicago Convergence and the American League of Lobbyists.

***** has more than 20years of public, private and not-for-profit sector experience. Prior to starting ***** ***** , he was a Vice President and Board Secretary for the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce, where he was the organization’s primary federal and Chicago metropolitan area lobbyist and spokesperson. ***** joined the Chamber after serving in Illinois Governor Jim Edgar's cabinet as the Assistant Director of the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs where he was in charge of the agency’s Chicago operations and the small business, business attraction, international trade, business finance and business advocacy operations.

***** previously served on the Boards of the Illinois Department of Labor, Illinois Development Finance Authority Board, Illinois Treasurer’s Minority Advisory Council and Chicago Technology Votes. He is also a former 1st Vice Chairman of the National Association of State Development Agencies and has been an advisor to the Woodstock Institute, the Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center, the Chicago Council on Urban Affairs, the World Trade Center – St. Louis and the East/West Gateway Council.

***** has also lectured at Northwestern and Southern Illinois – Carbondale Universities on public policy management. He is currently working on a book, The Executive’s Guide to Illinois Government, which is scheduled for publishing/posting in the fall of 2011.
