Terry Wakefield is President and Chief Executive Officer at The Wakefield Company (TWC) and has 38 years of experience in the US residential mortgage industry. He has held C-level positions at several mortgage-related concerns. In 1981, Mr. Wakefield's firm was retained by Fannie Mae to assist with the design and launch its mortgage-backed securities (MBS) program and negotiated transactions desk. Due to the successful launch of the MBS program, he joined Salomon Brothers where he co-founded Prudential Home Mortgage Company, and its parent, Residential Services Corporation of America. Mr. Wakefield has designed and implemented loan production infrastructures that have produced over $2 trillion of mortgage loans. In 2003, he launched today's version of TWC. Clients of TWC have included Lender Processing Services, H&R Block, Citadel Investment Group, Fiserv, ISGN and ValuAmerica.
