Major business problems have their own relentless momentum. Solution projects without a matching momentum likely going to fail at one level or another. And the solution projects are usually the Coyote to the problem's Roadrunner: they have a lot of catching up to do.

Using my 30+ years experience in Information Technology, in Systems Integration, Software Development, and Professional Services I can rapidly identify the key success factors for a project, and design solutions to achieve success. I have been running projects, programs and portfolios for 25 years and use my extensive international experience (Asia, North America, Europe) to create integrated teams from different organisational, cultural or geographic backgrounds.

I started as a software developer and have been programming in structured languages since the mid 1970's, a skill that I continue to maintain. I mostly use Pascal, but have experience with a range of languages and was an early adopter of Java in the mid- ***** ties. I have been using Delphi since version 1, primarily in applications involving Automation with MsOffice applications, semi-structured data management, and UI's.

I've been working in Telco, ISP, and New Media solutions since 1990 and have background in a wide range of technology and process areas, such as Transport and Logistics, Text Management, Web Services and SOA Platforms, IPTV Solutions, Data Management with XML, TV Advertising sales, Search Engine Optimisation, Insurance, Expert Systems, Data Mining, Web Property Development, User Experience, Information Architecture, RDBMS Solutions (Oracle, MySql, Ms Sql Server).

In Program Delivery I am comfortable with projects and project teams from 5 people up to several hundred and up to $100m in total investment. The maximum size of the total portfolio that I have worked with is in excess of 1000 people and over $500m. As well as broad experience of most implementation approaches (waterfall, iterative, agile and random chaos), I have I have strong knowledge in PMBOK, good understanding of Prince and have used, studied, assessed or designed other methodologies. I have deep domain knowledge in several core PM disciplines: Requirements Engineering, Deliverables Management, Resource Planning and Forecasting and Traceability are areas where I have not only extensive experience and practice, but I have developed detailed processes and systems for data management in these areas.

As well as core PM skills, I have also worked in Sales, Technical Pre-Sales, Architecture and BA roles.
