I am a seasoned executive in the transportation (OEM & aftermarket for automotive & commercial vehicles), industrial, aerospace, energy, and financial business sectors. I have had complete profit and loss responsibility for a mid cap $120M corporation. I have extensive experience in the South American, Asian, and European markets including new line or plant launches in all 3 regions as well as in North America. I have spent 4 years on assignment in Brazil and 4 years in Mexico. While on these foreign assignments, I have also had responsibility for Technical Center operations. I hold a BSEE degree and multiple Shainin certifications. I have been involved in engineering suspension systems/modules, brake systems/modules, dampers, bearings, air compressors, valves (hydraulic & pneumatic), sensors (position, velocity, acceleration, & pressure), controllers, wiring, software (algorithms, diagnostics, serial communications, calibrations), and batteries (lead-acid). I have had assignments in the areas of Executive Administration, Regional Productline Management, Systems Engineering, Application Engineering, Product Component Engineering, Aftermarket Engineering, Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Forward Planning, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Engineering, Sales, Materials Management Production Control, Supplier Quality, Quality Control, Finance Collections, & Business Buying.
From early 2009 to present, I have been President and Managing Partner of ***** Consulting. I am also Executive Vice President of Product and Process Development for the startup company GoTek Energy, Inc. which is a manufacturer of a clean technology rotary combustion engine that propels all types of land, water, and air transportation as well as drives stationary power generation devices to produce electricity, compressed air, vacuum, and heat exchange plus powers industrial equipment.
From 2006 to 2009, I was the General Manager of the US$120,000,000 annual revenue North American Kavlico Corporation of the Custom Sensors and Technologies business unit of Schneider Electric, which manufactured ceramic, piezo-resistive MEMs, capacitive MEMs, and thin film-pressure sensors for the transportation, industrial, medical, and aerospace markets. As the executive-in-charge I managed two sites with one in Moorpark, California USA and the other in Tijuana, Mexico.
From 2002 to 2006, I was responsible for global engineering and program management for actuator and module products, including overseeing the productionization of ABS valves, transmission valves, gasoline-fuel-injector coils, evaporative-emissions valves, cam-phasing valves, cruise-control modules, construction equipment hydraulic-ram control-modules, and variable turbo-control modules at Delphi Automotive Systems in Juarez, Mexico. I also acted as the Mexico Technical Center Director and participated as a member of the Sensor and Actuator Business-Line Team.
From 1998 to 2002, I was responsible for South American engineering for chassis products, aftermarket products, batteries, and the South American technical center facilities and support groups, as well as the South American Tactical & Strategic Regional Chassis Product-Line Manager at Delphi Automotive Systems in São Caetano do Sul and Piracicaba, São Paulo Brazil.
From 1995 to 1998, I was responsible for all global controlled suspension system product engineering and program management dealing with leveling ride height control, damping control, and roll control at General Motors Corp. in Dayton, Ohio USA. I also served on the Global Planning Team for integrated chassis systems.
