Bernard, a native of Augusta, Georgia, graduated from Clark Atlanta University (CAU) with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and a minor in Business Marketing. He also completed post graduate work in Applied Economics at the University of Detroit. Bernard began his professional life with National Bank of Detroit as a management trainee. He was quickly promoted to Branch Manager and enjoyed a career in banking for four years. While employed with National Bank of Detroit Bernard saved the bank over $15m as an auditor. He was also honored with many awards for selling the banks products and services.

For more than seventeen (17) years, Bernard enjoyed a successful career with Ford Motor Company. During his tenure with Ford, he held various assignments with increasing responsibility which included several executive sales and marketing positions. Some of his numerous accomplishments included being honored for selling the most retail service outlets which resulting in $18m in new business for Ford Motor Company. He developed a Human Resources Manual for the Ford Dealer body that was used for a national reproduction. In addition, he created an Interpersonal Skills Workshop for Service Advisors which resulted in a full two points of increase in the customer satisfaction indexes. Bernard won numerous sales contest resulting in sales of more than $50m in revenue for Ford. His leadership position as a District Manager awarded him the privilege of training many top executives for Ford’s corporate office. Prior to his departure, he was a Dealer Operations Manager which required him to oversee the marketing and sales functions of one Ford’s largest regions in the country. (The Southern Region).

Bernard has written numerous business plans for Ford Motor Company, Fords Dealer Body, and clients for B J ***** & Associates. These business plans have resulted in corporate mergers and access to additional capital extensions from banks and venture capitalists. Additionally, he has facilitated seminars for the Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce which has taught business owners how to write business plans resulting in business expansion for the City of Miami, Florida.

Bernard is active in Clark Atlanta University’s Leadership and Professional Development Program. His exemplary leadership skills coupled with the generous financial support of Ford Motor Company played a key role in the development of this nationally recognized program. Bernard continues to be a supporter of the program by providing pro bona services to his alumni. He has been awarded on many occasions for his valued added seminars and was featured in the university quarterly news circulation magazine as a standout Alumni.

As a result of his passion for sharing his talents and experiences with others, Bernard started his own professional consulting firm. He specializes in all aspects of organizational development and consulting. He added a business brokerage company
