- The Storage Administrator is primarily responsible for the functioning for Netapp storage systems installed at the client's and maintaining a high level of functionality and availability to ensure business continuity
- Daily monitoring and reporting on storage hardware functionality
- Responding to user requests for storage space and access through ticketing system and Troubleshooting space, access and data replication issues
-Daily management, reporting and troubleshooting of backup activities
- Vendor co-ordination with NetApp and HP for Software & Hardware related
escalated issues
- Incident Management & Change Management and problem management.
- Queue Management & Generating Report to meet SLA parameter as per agreement
- Handing situation such as Storage Allocation, Drive Configuration.
- Provide Inputs to the onsite engineers or vendor support for the right course of action.
- Manage and resolve problems identified by sys admins or monitoring software.
- Work with change and problem management tools Hardware
software fault detection and vendor liaison Analyze and resolve escalated problems within target.
- Administration of NETAPP, HP EVA, HP XP , EMC CLARIION Storage.
- Administration of SAN Fabric switches Brocade .
- SAN administration using Netapp Filer, HP EVA Command View, HP XPCommand View, EMC Navisphere Manager.
- Planning and implementation of Storage Solutions. Potential contracts, understands customer’s goals/objectives and communicate opportunities in a timely manner.
- Prepares and presents proposals to customers including customer follow-up answering questions and closing projects.
