Upon graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in the ‘90’s, my first job was as a credit analyst at Volvo Commercial Finance. Since then, I have worked with the trucking world as a factor, investment banker and most recently as a turnaround consultant. As a consultant, I served in operational roles at regional and national trucking firms, from $100 million carriers to a $9 billion LTL during the 2009 freight recession. I have advised at least 10 firms, working on-site with carriers from Grand Rapids, MI to Istanbul, Turkey, and I bring a great deal of perspective. I am currently president of ***** (www. ***** . com), an agent-based truckload brokerage firm providing logistics and transportation services throughout the United States. Our specialty is providing full truckload Dry Van, Reefer and Flatbed services throughout the US, with a concentration in the Southern and Eastern regions. We generate loyalty in our customers through industry-best customer service, competitive rates, and safe, on-time service.

Some of the work I’ve done includes:
- Advised an international 3PL with significant operations in Europe and Turkey on strategic initiatives, including mergers, fuel savings and fleet optimization.
- Built a dispatching system from scratch, then implemented the new system and trained the dispatching group in its use.
- Developed budgets and financial models for 3PLs, regional and national, TL and LTL trucking companies.
- Implemented fuel savings program that saved over $3 million in annual fuel costs.
- As a credit analyst at Volvo, I worked with literally thousands of owner operators and small fleet to help them secure financing for their business or to help them arrange for payment plans when they fell behind.

Outside of the trucking industry, I have had a wide range of experience, from developing a performance improvement plan for a call center company to performing a valuation of a $500 million subprime mortgage portfolio.
