Over the years I have acquired extensive knowledge & application of Logistics/ Shipping/ Import/Export/Customs/Warehousing/ International Finance matters, including Letters of Credit and Cash Against Documents and Acceptance terms, using UCP 600 terms and Incoterms, plus related software training.
I have also acquired a varied knowledge of many aspects of the business, including hazardous chemicals regulations & more recently preparing EU Common Veterinary Entry Documents (CVED) using TRACES, (the Trade Control and Expert System).
Currently I have just finished working in a temporary position as Shipping Manager at a company that manufactures fire fighting equipment, importing and exporting around the world.
Prior to that I worked in an outplacement role responsible for imports/exports & cross–trade shipments from various Far East Countries to UK/Europe & African countries, including some projects shipments, using L/C's for payment.
Then previously to that I have worked for an importing company responsible for a bonded warehouse under HMRC cfsp regulations, and arranging international payments, using online banking systems.
Prior to that I worked for software companies specialising in International Trade & Accounts & Order Processing software in the role of Applications Consultants, assisting with training/ support/ documentation & testing.
