Bill has spent 23 years in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as Executive Director of ***** Technologies within Chemistry R&D at Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA. During his tenure, he and two others had chemistry technical oversight of nine Investigational New Drugs in the fields of oncology, inflammation, neuroscience, and diabetes. In addition, he led the chemistry diligence teams that in-licensed a variety of candidates, all now in clinical trials. His strong executive experience includes multi-facility management (>100 FTE, $10M budget); pipeline review; product & technology licensing; merger/acquisition and venture. Before joining Amgen, he spent 16 years at Bristol Myers Squibb in Wallingford CT, building and leading the computational chemistry group. He obtained his B. S. in Chemistry from Carnegie-Mellon University and his Ph. D. in Chemistry/Biophysics from Wesleyan University.
