Since a young age I have always had the desire to fly commercial airliners. My father is a retired Airline Check Captain and was my mentor through my formative and early years in ***** .
Having completed school I took a year to complete the Commercial and ATPL theory subjects and exams, whilst accumulating enough h ***** s for the issue of a Commercial Pilots Licence.
Once issued I completed a Flight Instructor Rating c ***** se and started instructing the day after my check flight.
24 years on, and despite flying in a variety of ***** operations such as:
- flight instructor - C150/152/172 PA28 etc
- outback flying - Cessna/Piper singles and Twins
- Regional Airline - BAe31 Jetstream
- Air Ambulance - Beechcraft Super King Air B200C
- Coastwatch - Westwind WW1124
- Airlines - Boeing ***** /400/700/800
I continue to be involved with pilot training.

I am currently employed as a Level 1 Training Captain on B ***** /800 which means I train intake First Officers and also Command Upgrade candidates (first officers training to become Captain)

Throughout my career, I have assisted many young aspiring pilot who did not have access to a pilot mentor as I did to provide advice, guidance and just have someone from the industry to talk to when required.
With the expected airliner and bizjet deliveries for the next 20 years, I envisage there will be a global under supply of professionally trained commercial pilots that will be qualified and prepared to accept commercial ***** positions.

From this, with a great deal of assistance from Captain Naomi Radke, we have developed a comprehensive pilot mentoring program which will be truly beneficial throughout a pilots training.
***** goal is to assist as many budding aviators, young or not so young, to achieve their dream in commercial ***** - whatever it may be.
