• Maintained all IT based systems deployed in content production, broadcast and distribution environment comprised of 50 plus application specific servers/workstations, 2 SAN solutions (Xiotech, Apple Xsan) and 50 plus IP network/fiber channel switches.

• Led architectural design and implementation for engineering team in a two-phase Digital Broadcast Conversion project. Successfully migrated tape to file base playout and transitioned NTSC analog satellite distribution network to ATSC digital IP distribution network. Resulted in digital broadcast of HD/SD channels, centralized management and monitoring of 17 transmitters sites, streamlined troubleshooting and support efforts and eliminated annual satellite cost.

 Selected vendors to provide video playout, asset management and archived storage solutions ensuring interoperability between systems.

 Designed and configured 18 locations WAN using combination of DS3 and T-1 point to point data services, Harris Interplex and NetVX for IP transport, and Extreme Network switches supporting 300 networked devices acrros 30 plus VANs.

 Designed and implemented a file base end to end workflow including ingesting, editing, cataloging, managing, storing, transcoding, broadcasting and distributing content produced at GPB. Workflow involved integration of over 20 different application specific systems, securely networked while optimizing file/data transfer speeds. Resulted in increased accessibility and usability of content, while achieving a 30% decrease in man-hours needed with content stored on tape.

 Designed and implemented Final Cut Pro HD Editing environment; 9 Edit Suites, XSAN storage system and Final Cut Server asset management system. Facilitating the production of Interstitials, Documentaries, Short Form Programs and Corporate Videos.

Managed team of Web Developers, Database Administrators and Media Encoder Technicians focused on ongoing development of Streaming Media business unit.

• Led team in successful redesign of agency’s website by engaging stakeholders to ensure ideals were addressed and incorporated content hosted by the Streaming Media Network. Results provided an equally cohesive representation of the business divisions (Television, Radio and Education).

• Designed and implemented GPB Digital Library Portal. Spearheaded vendor selection process to drive appropriate development solution and managed the development environment resulting in public access to video content produced by agency.

• Regarded as the subject matter expert for streaming technologies for agency partners, other state agencies and school systems by recommending and assisting with installation of streaming solutions that integrated with the Streaming Media network.
