Presently, I work as the Accounting Manager for a company designing, manufacturing, and marketing specialized outdoor recreational products. This company ships product globally from distribution and manufacturing centers in the USA, China, and Europe. Additionally, the company has nexus in 10 states in the USA and Canada. My responsibilities include sales and use tax filings in all applicable North American jurisdictions, calculation of commissions and royalties, financial analysis, accounting research, and other general accounting duties.
Prior to this role, I was an Internal Auditor for a Fortune 1000 maker of magnetic wire and telecommunications cable. In this role, I worked extensively to improve documentation and testing procedures for SOX 404 in the wake of AS5. Moreover, I gained experience conducting, leading, and managing SOX 404 and operational audits.
Beyond this experience, I have worked during 2 busy seasons in public accounting. Additionally, my MAcc focused heavily on valuation of private companies and business opportunities.
