I established *****-***** as a politico-security research and capability development consultancy in mid-2007 and have managed the organisation since Sept 2007. My key achievements during this time were the conceptualisation and delivery of a world-class information ***** training programme, delivered to various intelligence agencies, governments and United Nations agencies; the delivery of several high-quality research products mainly for government institutions, and the development of an extensive information source network on the *****n continent. I have advised various South *****n government departments including the national intelligence academy on institutional design, training and capacity needs and models for producing excellence.
I manage 4 analysts and trainers as well as 2 administrative staff and 2 research interns.

United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (*****)

I was recruited to develop and manage the security ***** (intelligence) capability of the United Nations mission in Iraq after the UN re-entered Iraq, following the attack on its Baghdad headquarters in 2004. During this time I established the unit as a reliable source of operational and strategic intelligence on the Iraqi political and security situation, delivering analytic products in the forms of written papers, scenarios, presentations and briefings to a wide range of UN and diplomatic clients. I also conducted more generic Security Officer responsibilities, e.g. mission planning, reconnaissance, facility inspections.

During this time I worked as a freelance politico-security consultant and lecturer, with a number of regular appointments in Germany, the USA, Switzerland and South *****.
