Dipesh has experience of about a decade in executive leadership role, as also in consulting and advisory services with focus on mining, metals and utilities sectors.
Dipesh is a Mining Engineering graduate from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, India and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter-holder from Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India. He has also completed an executive program in business management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
He is currently working as the Chief Executive Officer of Maamba Collieries ***** , a coal mining and power generation company in Zambia, which is a subsidiary of ***** ***** ***** ***** (a publicly listed company in India), where he works as Vice President of Mining Projects.
Prior to his current assignment, he worked as Principal consultant and led the industry vertical of PricewaterhouseCoopers in India. He led the team in transactions in the mining sector, through bidding and negotiated routes. He has worked on assignment ranging from the target identification and transaction support for acquisition of the resources in countries like Australia, Indonesia, Zambia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka; bid process management for contractor selection; financial due diligence, commercial and regulatory due diligence, market analysis for coal and other minerals; and strategy formulations & business planning.
He has worked on valuation of businesses for management decision-making purposes and Value Based Management and has assisted in business mergers and acquisitions. He has also worked on assignments involving valuation of tangible and intangible assets for transactions in such assets for accounting and strategic decision-making purposes, valuation of intangible assets for resource allocation, due diligence assistance for mergers and acquisitions and for management decision making and management control.
He has done operational and financial due diligence and assisted in clients’ investment decisions. He has done valuation of equities of client businesses for Private Placements and advised on financial restructuring.
