Received his BSc degree from the Life Science faculty at Tel Aviv University. He then went on to do his MSc and Ph. D. at the Department of Neurobiology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, on central nervous system injury, degeneration and inflammation. Spent two years at the department of Neurochemistry in the University of Antwerp (Belgium) specialized in models of learning & memory and neurodegenerative diseases. Obtained an MBA degree from the Ben Gurion University. Consequently, he performed his postdoctoral study in cellular immunology as project leader with EMBO and Human Frontier of Science long term fellowship awards in Milan, Italy. He then joined Merck Serono as head of the Molecular medicine unit. In this role he supervised translational research activities aimed to identify and develop measurament assays for predictive and therapeutic biomarkers; utilizing various technology platforms including genomics, immune phenotyping, and proteomics. Currently a business development advisor in a large medical institute.
