Mr. Atkins has been an active participant in the New England energy markets since 1994. Since that time, he has successful deployed almost 1,500 MW’s of new resources in ISO New England’s control area including base load combined cycle facilities, peaking gas turbines, and demand response assets. As President of Pinpoint Power, Mr. Atkins focuses on developing, owning and managing independent power projects and currently is working on the largest solar photovoltaic project in the northeastern United States. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Atkins served as Chairman of NEPOOL’s alternative resource sector, where he actively advocated for market rules providing equitable and comparable treatment for both supply and demand side resources. Mr. Atkins holds a BSME degree from Cornell University and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of New York and the United States Virgin Islands.
