Over 13yrs of operating, technical, management and finance experience in energy sector both in O&G as well as power sector (conventional as well as renewable power generation) in the United States, India, Colombia, Brazil and Venezuela.

Currently CEO of a large wind development company in Texas developing over 500MW of wind projects.

Previously I am CFO for wind development company in Texas in mid stages of developing 300MW wind farm in Texas. I am also acting as Senior advisor to Hannon Armstrong (developing 80MW solar project and structuring a JV with an international financial institution that will invest in resource verification for geothermal projects)

Prioviosly, I was hired by HSH Nordbank to start their business in tax equity investment, placement and advisory in renewable energy sector in North America, a business that I launched successfully. Besides, I was also involved in financing mandates for a geothermal, biomass and wind projects, acting as an outsourced CFO for a solar company and advising PE investors on investments in renewables sector. In my role as project finance professional, stepping outside of traditional project financing structures, I created first of a kind "dual credit" structure for First Solar, I have been at the forefront of regulatory changes in this sector and integrated these changes in the financial modeling to predict impact on returns for investors as well as modeled financial structures involving various inter creditors (tax equity, cash equity, developer, lender, hedge provider etc).

In my role I have also worked very closely with developers on operational issues (sometimes creating operating model for them) and also negotiations of power purchase agreements and term sheets other than just financial structuring.

I am board member for a solar thin film company. I have also recently helped a European investor in submitting a bid for a 40MW wind project in Germany by performing due diligence and valuation (similar on process for a wind project in Romania). Investments were at all stages of the project (development, construction and operational).

Previosly I worked at Goldman Sachs in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs in Global Natural Resources group (focus on power and utilities and alternative energy).

Prior to that I worked at Schlumberger for 6 years in different countries (India, Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia) at positions ranging from oil exploration engineer to managing a remote oilfield location in Brazil.

After leaving Schlumberger, I graduated from Wharton in 2006 with a major in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management.

I have graduated from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Mumbai with a degree in chemical engineering.
