Eric L. ***** is a problem-solver and team-builder / leader with over 20 years' experience consulting and advising local governments and small businesses on policy and planning matters, offering creative approaches to fundamental issues as well as broad experience in proactive conceptual as well as software and retail sales. Extensive travel and experience in the music industry along with strong knowledge of visual and verbal arts provide a broad background for understanding diverse concerns. A Masters in Public Administration codifies the experience of a lifetime, supplemented by ongoing proactive learning. Extensive experience in writing and public speaking allow clear communication of complex concepts. Mr. ***** is currently on the Board of Directors of BopArts, Inc. , a non-profit dedicated to bringing live performances of cutting-edge music and other arts to an underserved public. He is president of his own consulting company, serving nonprofits and local governments, most recently by developing new processes, logistical organization and managing the preparation of occupied apartments with low income/elderly/disabled tenants for complete renovation. He is also Vice President of Recorded Classics, Inc. , the corporate owner of The Bop Shop, an internationally recognized independent record store providing CD and vinyl records to a market interested in the best in roots music (jazz, blues, folk, international, rock and classical). Mr. ***** is a member of Pi Alpha Alpha (the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration).
Previous accomplishments have included research and database development for funding of work on global value chains (examining conceptual dissemination over time through publications), sustainable food supplies and malaria control. He has developed a spreadsheet package designed to allow immediate input of product for sale at the Rochester International Jazz Festival where, in addition to product obtained through normal channels, a retailer must receive product from artists as they arrive or as they leave a stage, with sales occurring nearly simultaneously with its receipt... and the package provided full and immediate reportage of sales and funds dispersal to artists, the festival and wholesalers, as well as taxes due. Other experience includes editing, review, organization and analysis of municipal legislation plus work with municipal records management in 8 states, in addition to participation in the development of code enforcement tracking software, work with municipal accounting software and government procurement. Mr. ***** has written extensively on municipal legislation and records management, along with a variety of other short subjects in music and local history.
