I have been responsible and accountable for multiple large and small mechanical design projects, directing engineering teams toward successful completion. I have always been a hands-on working mechanical engineer with my own role to play along with the project management responsibilities. Designing or participating in the front end design of simple to complicated parts and assemblies can accelerate the development of any project leading to successful execution.
I am principally a mechanical engineer, capable of providing mechanical design and analysis support in the area of static and dynamic machines and tooling. I have a strong background in structures made from a variety of material. I have a good solid understanding of manufacturing processes that include; machining and welding, plastic injection molding, powdered metal, laser cutting and bending, and others... including many rapid prototype techniques and materials.

- Manager of a mechanical engineering team building concept models into full functional prototypes for proof of concept, which involved mechanism/structural design and analysis, industrial design, and DFA/M analysis.
- Directly responsible and accountable for nearly all aspects of the mechanical design on the IGRT gantry assembly and associated supporting structure and attachments, guiding/directing the efforts of four mechanical engineers and four mechanical designers.
- Directly responsible for the design of the RT shielding head and shuttle assembly. Provided guidance in the design of the drive and latch assembly for the shuttle as it was developed. Guided and assisted in the redesign of the MLC and the associated secondary encoder. All the heavy lift infrastructure tooling was developed, built, tested, and used to maintain the RT head assemblies on to the gantry assembly, was designed under my guidance and direction. The mounting structure and vault design for mounting the entire mechanical system was done with my guidance. There were numerous mechanical support functions, to other members of the ViewRay team, where they depended on me for assistance.
