Ignacio ***** works as Commercial Roll-out Manager at ***** o ***** Digital, a recently created global unit with the mission of capturing all new digital business opportunities outside the traditional telecom space. Ignacio has developed his whole professional career in the telecommu ***** tion industry with 12 years of experience. With a degree in Telecommu ***** tion Engineering he initially took more tech ***** l positions in cable (Supercable) and mobile carriers (Amena) as project manager of added-value services, and then evolved to marketing and business development positions, taking an MBA at IESE, one of the leading business schools in the world. Before joining ***** o ***** , he also worked at France Telecom as product manager of premium mobile content business line.
His main area of expertise is marketing&business development of new products and services in the telco industry, with a background of initiatives related to adjacent sectors (entertainment, advertising, financial services).
- January 2011 - up to*****mercial Roll-out Manager at *****O***** GROUP, (Global Financial Services Unit):
- Responsibility over revenue goals and product roadmap for financial services in the assigned region (O2 carriers)..
- Execution of corporate acceleration programmes to speed up local go to market plans for mobile financial services adoption.
- Achievement of global partnerships at Group level (including Joint Ventures) to develop the market together with key partners and double existing business.
- January 2010 – December 2010. Head of Mobile Financial Services at *****O***** SPAIN (Consumer Market Business Unit):
- Definition and design plan in Mobile Financial Services for the spanish market, covering services portfolio (cards, m-payments, remittances, P2P transfer and insurance), entry strategy, budget allocation and partnerships.
- Coordination with the Corporate Group to align local and global activities to obtain sinergies and economies of scale in terms of products, partnerships and technology components.
- Responsible for plan delivery. Team management, project management, design of launch campaigns, revenue objectives achievements.
- August 2008 - December 2009. New Business Senior Consultant at *****O***** SPAIN (Consumer Market Business Unit):
- Delivery of a new methodology to search for new business opportunities in the fields of mobile commerce and mobile advertising. Research, value proposition, financial analysis, business case. More than 50 ideas analyzed, 10 product concepts defined, 5 products selected to go live.
- Lead innovation commercially, connecting the business unit with R&D and the Corporate Group.
- Responsible of defining and building marketing plans associated with each new initiative and presenting them to the top management of the company.
- September 2004 - July 2008. Senior Premium Services Product Manager at FRANCE TELECOM SPAIN, (New Services Business Unit):
- Management of premium mobile content business (annual income of 80MM€), achieving sales growth of 60% in 3 years.
- Account management of top 4 players in the industry. Payouts negotiation, sales goals, new business opportunities, resulting in a net revenues increase and stronger relationship in all cases.
- Launch of new added-value services. Product definition, promotion, distribution over different channels, achievement of income goals (2-3MM€ per service each year).
- March 2001 - August 2004. Mobile Services Project Manager at AMENA, Spanish mobile carrier (Technology&Networks Division):
- Design and implementation of Amena’s Added-value services platform from scratch offering a wide portfolio of messaging, music, entertainment and banking services.
- Validation of product requirements with marketing teams in order to launch world class products.
- Supervision of suppliers economic offers and contracts to optimize delivery cost.
