Currently Janey serves as Manager, Operations Services at ***** Restaurants, the franchisor and operator of ***** , which now has over 1500 locations. She began her career in the restaurant industry over 30 years ago. What began as a “waitress” job sparked her passion for the food service industry and a career path that lead her to be recognized for her operations expertise.
Janey joined ***** 15 years ago as an Operations Consultant for both franchise and company restaurants before being promoted to division Manager of Company Operations. Recognition of her operations expertise has led to ongoing increases in responsibility including her current position at the Support Center in Glendale, California, as Manager, Operations Services.
Prior to joining ***** , Janey was with Sizzler International, Inc. for 21 years. There, she held various positions including Restaurant Manager, Area Development Manager, Market Manager, and Regional Training Supervisor. While at Sizzler, she aided in the development of an entry-level management position, authored their management-training program, and was a certified instructor for more than eight career development workshops as well as a ServSafe instructor.
Janey is an active member in several professional organizations such as the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), and Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF).
Janey has been recognized by her peers and leaders and in the foodservice industry for her outstanding achievement and commitment to excellence. In 1998 and 1999, she received the Operations Consultant of the Year award from ***** and the Women’s Foodservice Forum Company Ambassador of the Year Award for 2005. Janey has also received awards for video training productions, which include the 2007 International Davey Award given for outstanding creative work, and the 2008 International Communicator - Award of Excellence, their highest honor, given to those whose ability to communicate puts them among the best in the field.
