My favorite thing to do in business is to take companies from conception to toddlerhood. I love the challenge and have learned that failing is part of the journey to success. Last four years I've chosen very difficult projects to work on. No better feeling when you're about to give up and all of a sudden they come to life. For me, I'm constantly searching for the balance between mission (ex: foreclosure defense consulting) and profitability (ex: North Dakota real estate). A project can be spiritually rewarding but financially and emotionally draining while another is like playing in a pile of gold- you just have to claim some as yours! The question any social entrepreneur should ask is "Can I have it all?" I believe the answer is yes, but the journey to get there is one that most don't have the guts to make it to.
