Prior to founding ***** , John has experience in start-up ventures as Vice President of Manufacturing & Supply Chain for Porteon Electric Vehicles, a start-up headquartered in Portland, Oregon USA. Porteon designs, develops, manufactures, and distributes electric vehicles; creating mobility solutions that are clean, energy efficient, economical, and truly sustainable.
John ***** served as Porteon’s Vice President of Manufacturing & Supply Chain. In addition to leading start-up operations and facilitating Porteon’s product development process, John was responsible for a host of supplemental activities inherent in a start-up product launch.
John has over 22 years experience in global procurement and strategic sourcing, supply chain, product development, product management, product strategy and supplier development. Prior to joining Porteon, John spent 11 years playing key roles in the launch of electric vehicles and related technologies for NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc. , a $2. 7 billion subsidiary of NACCO Industries, producer of Hyster® and Yale® lift trucks. He has directed cross-functional teams in the development, launch and introduction of new products and processes on a global scale.
John earned a B. S. degree in Business / Operations Management from Oregon State University, and an M. B. A. from Portland State University.
