ISTAT

Experienced aerospace industry entrepreneur with specific expertise in general management (with P&L responsibility), asset trading, engineering, marketing and sales, distribution management, and procurement. Karl ***** is a “hands-on” executive who is driven by the creation of economic value utilizing technical engine expertise combined with asset management. Karl ***** is a no-nonsense individual who understands the value of his employees’ contributions.

As President and Founder of ***** *****, LLC (*****), Karl ***** has built an entrepreneurial company from the “grass roots” through use of personal capital and hard work. ***** was founded in January 1999, and recorded over $5 million in sales in that initial year. Today, ***** buys, leases and sells commercial aircraft and engines, supplies new, overhauled, and serviceable jet aircraft engine component parts, provides engine overhaul and technical engineering services, and distributes new PMA component parts. This has been accomplished in one of the most difficult periods in the airline industries history, which included the September 11th terrorist tragedy, while many competitors have fallen.

Before starting ***** in 1999, Karl ***** was Director/General Manager of Pratt & Whitney TEAM (formerly Interturbine TEAM). During his four years with TEAM he grew the business from sales of $200K per month to $10 million in annual revenues. Pratt & Whitney acquired TEAM in October 1997 along with three former Interturbine repair facilities. Following the P&W acquisition, Karl and his team successfully re-built the TEAM business from a JT8D core business to one concentrating on JT3D and CFM56. This was a growth charge mandated by P&W to better service P&W’s worldwide aviation customers. During 2000, TEAM was integrated into P&W Dallas Aerospace and became a part of that success story.

Prior to TEAM, Karl ***** was responsible for all engineering, quality and inventory operations at Amtec where he developed the infrastructure into one of the first engine parts distribution companies to receive C.A.S.E. quality approval.

Previous to that Karl ***** held engineering positions with both NWA in Atlanta and at Continental Airlines in Los Angeles. At both airlines, Karl managed all engineering aspects from shop support to engineering management decision for the airlines aircraft fleets. Karl was also responsible for engine overhaul cost management thru innovative repair development and inventory management. Clearly, Karl ***** has an in-depth understand of the airline operators prospective.

Karl ***** graduated Purdue University with a B.S. in Engineering.
