He has successfully executed high-level technical consulting assignments including regulatory strengthening, insurance and microinsurance and ***** strategies for dealing with natural disasters. Recent clients include the World Bank, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Micro Insurance Academy (India). Kim’s has authored/edited three books published by the Inter-American Development Bank dealing with policy risk, ***** disclosure and ***** risk management in emerging markets, as well as being the principal author of the IDB ***** strategy. He has published papers in leading, peer-reviewed academic journals. He has also authored articles in insurance trade publications along with numerous working papers and presentations. Kim obtained his PhD from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Economics from Brigham Young University. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
