Six years as Project Manager and Lead Design Engineer for the Woodhaven Development in Sherwood, Oregon, a multi-year, multi-phase residential development project. Services included design and construction of 4,400 lf of Sunset Boulevard, over 1.5 miles of collector and five miles of local street improvements. Michael designed and coordinated installation of signal and intersection improvements at Highway 99 and Sunset Boulevard. This project also included the development of over 1,000 single family residences on 300 acres, and associated public water, storm, and sewer lines.

Vancouver Center Development – Vandevco

As Design Engineer for the Vancouver Center development in Vancouver, Washington, provided services for a high rise redevelopment project with four buildings up to 14-story high rises with three floors of underground parking. Designed and coordinated the street development of the downtown urban streetscape adjacent to the newly renovated Esther Short park and the complex design and temporary easement for soil nail construction of the site excavation and all utility connection through the underground structure to the serviced above and below ground facilities.

NE Glisan and 60th Avenue Improvements – Center Commons

As Design Engineer for a mixed-use transit oriented urban development at NE Glisan and 60th Avenue, was part of the award winning Center Commons project team. This project features senior living, affordable housing, townhome, condominiums, and commercial development in a pedestrian-friendly transit-oriented environment. Improvements included new signals at the I-84 on ramp, street widening, significant tree preservation, sidewalk improvements, and extensive pedestrian oriented improvements such as a pedestrian refuge island.
