Expert Profile
I bring unique depth and breadth of technical and leadership experience after a 30+ year career in high technology aerospace and defense programs at NASA, Boeing and the Department of Defense in the US.
My BSE is from Princeton University in Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering and I also have 2 Master degrees from George Washington University, one in R&D Management and one in Electrical Engineering (specialties in communications, antennas and controls technologies). I have led highly complex technical projects in defense at the Naval Research Laboratory, and several high priority space programs at NASA and most recently at Boeing . For example I led the design and development of NASA's new space telescope, called the James Webb Space Telescope. This more than $6. 5 billion project will replace the Hubble Space Telescope. For the past 11 years, I have led Boeing's business development in space robotic and science missions for NASA where I have been responsible for all aspects of the development of new space business (marketing, strategy, sales, teaming, acquisitions, R&D investment planning, proposal team leadership and technical management. ) I have had direct responsibility of high technology development budgets exceeding $500 million per year and project teams of hundreds of engineers and scientists.
