Michael Spector is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

He was the Audit Quality Assurance Director for the Desert Southwest Region of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, where he was responsible for the technical quality assurance of the audit and accounting practice relative to compliance with applicable professional standards.

He was a Managing Partner and Partner with two Big Four Certified Public Accounting firms, and has a broad business background both domestically and internationally. Industries included: Broadcasting, Newspapers, Construction, Real Estate, Developers, Manufacturing, High Technology, Automotive, Insurance, Retail, Colleges & Universities and Government.

He was Chief Financial Officer of a diversified holding company (approximately $100 million in revenues) and all of its subsidiary companies, which included: construction, real estate, extensive fast food franchise business, full service restaurants, lodging, wholesale beer distribution and beverage warehousing, and foreign operations. He re-engineered several lines of business, including extensive implementation of centralized financial systems; arranged, negotiated and closed over $100,000,000 of debt financing, including “Road Shows;” and negotiated, structured and closed various acquisitions, including the consolidation of several business enterprises.

Special expertise includes expert witness testimony, litigation support, SEC (i.e. including Initial Public Offerings) filings, bankruptcies, SOX, and extensive knowledge and use of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), DCAA Contract Audit Manual, Government Auditing Standards (“Yellow Book”), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) opinions and related technical literature, and Statements on Auditing Standards (SAS).

He has served as a director on a number of boards, and had several special assignments including the Executive Committee of the United States Small Business Administration national Advisory Council, the United States General Services Administration national Advisory Council, and was a Senior Advisor to the 1981 President-Elect’s Transition Team for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He was the recipient of the American Spirit Honor Medal and the Eagle Scout Award.
