Expert Profile
Mohammed ***** was born in Morocco in 1975 and obtained a Master’s degree
in physical energy at the Institut National Polytechnique in Grenoble in 1999, before obtaining
a PhD in energy at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris in 2003. His thesis
focused on the impact of lubricating oil on the thermodynamic performances of refrigeration systems
and he developed modifi ed Mollier diagrams taking into account the presence of oil. After
2 years spent teaching and performing research at the Institut Français du Froid Industriel (IFFI),
he is now head of a research project at Cemagref in Antony, France: his focus is on eco-design
of refrigeration systems and the energy effi ciency of the exchangers used in the systems. Author
of more than 30 scientifi c and technical publications illustrating his work in the refrigeration fi eld,
Mohammed ***** also teaches in many engineering schools and universities on a regular
basis. He is a junior member of the IIR’s Commission B2, a member of the French Refrigeration
Association (Association Française du Froid - AFF) and is on the editorial board of the Revue
Générale du Froid et du Conditionnement d’ ***** .
