almost 40 years experience in the housing and urban development arena. During most of that time he was in leadership positions with The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). He has worked in Chicago, Columbus Ohio, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, and St. Louis.
Of most importance, Paul was Multifamily Director of Multifamily Housing in St. Louis. In this position, he was responsible for leading the HUD division that underwrote and asset managed FHA/HUD multifamily loans. The type of projects insured included apartments, nursing homes, assisted living, and affordable housing. Paul was recognized as a national expert on HUD programs and was frequently consulted by policy makers in Washington. Paul’s work was responsible for major redevelopment efforts in the St. Louis area.
Upon retirement from HUD, Paul founded ***** Consulting. This firm specializes in brokering FHA apartment loans, grant writing, tax credit financing, and the development of Workforce Housing. His clients have included major for profit and not for profit developers.
Paul graduated from Roosevelt University with a BA in Political Science, and from The University of Wisconsin Madison with an MA in Political Science. He has also completed course work at The Kennedy School of Public Policy at Harvard University.
