I am printing process expert. This means I am a specialist in laying down controlled thicknesses of material over a precisely defined area. I have been working in the manufacturing and print industry providing expert support to some of the biggest players in the field. To me printing is an engineering process that can be measurable, controllable and predictable.

What process is chosen depends on the application. Analogue printing is ideal for high speed production but digital printing is getting there. Your application could range from creating layers of ceramic materials to antibiotics onto a myriad of different substrates. The printing medium may alter or the condition of the substrate can be more or less suitable to accept the printing medium.

Then there is the issue of drying/curing or conditioning the applied material. Is it radiation cured, or dried with hot air? Does the substrate have to be pre-treated? Is volume production best done on sheets or roll fed?
