Holding an MBA from Curtin University, Australia on the foundation of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, I possess more than 15 years of experience, including 10 years of international exposure in the Oil & Gas industry.

I am currently associated with Occidental Petroleum of Qatar Limited (NYSE: OXY), in the capacity of Lead Reliability Engineer, since Aug’2007. I am responsible for managing the 120, 00 BOPD facility operations including commissioning and maintenance of plant equipments, performing the Root Cause / Failure Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Shutdown planning, and modernization of facilities.

Professional Experience

• Distributed Control Systems : Worked on the concept-to-realization of modern control systems such as Honeywell TDC-3000/TPS, ABB Infi-90/ 800xA and Emerson DeltaV. Gained knowledge on simulation, rule-based algorithm and pattern recognition.
• Turbo-machinery Control Systems : Extensive hands-on experience with Siemens SGT-700/ Typhoon and GE Frame-5 MarkVIe turbine control system. Involved in detailed design to improve the capability of existing computerized machine monitoring tools into an “intelligent system” where detection of machine or process abnormalities can be utilized to predict potential machine failures.
• Emergency Shutdown and F&G Systems : Conversant with HIPPS, Invensys Triconex, ABB August SC-300E, HIMA ELOP-II, Siemens QUADLOG and GE Fanuc ***** systems.
• Smart Well Technology : Selected and implemented the ability to control production flow from the surface and measure pressure, zonal flow rates, composition and downhole temperature in real-time. Familiar with artificial lifting techniques such as water injection, gas lifting and ESP.
• Real-Time Plant Information System : Commissioned OSISoft PI-based data historians with capabilities to monitor production facilities and consequently enable early detection of failure modes in order to optimize uptime. Achieved efficient data archival with buffer capability.
• PRIDE : Automated the collection of process parameters that were otherwise recorded in daily operator logs to facilitate better analysis of plant operation.
• CMMS : Worked on various computerized maintenance management systems such as MAXIMO & SAP.
