I was responsible for managing a banquet staff of over 500 at various event sites in the Washington DC region. Work duties included providing training and oversight of staff operations in preparation for all meetings, events, and galas for the President and other prominent dignitaries. Working in this capacity, I often served as a liaison between the banquet staff and other departments in strategic planning and logistical detailing of events. My major contribution to Restaurant Associates Washington DC operations included generating approximately $10, 00 in new revenue in FY2006 by outsourcing staffing capital to various federal food and beverage operations and local catering companies. I recruited candidates for employment within the regional banquet operations. I conducted new hire orientations and training for staff on event service standards and requirements. I developed handbooks and packets for employee training. I generated staff payroll and overtime expenses in the time card system for processing by corporate headquarters. I administered employee W-2 forms and Workman's Compensation claims.
