Expert Profile
My vision is to incorporate twenty-three years of water and process treatment engineering and project management experience into a conduit between the end-user customer and the solution supplier. My core competency is to address current and future water and energy challenges by conservation and renewable energy opportunities, as well as process improvements.
Clients come to me and my colleagues with a variety of challenges and opportunities in various industries, various applications and various roles. Our function as a consultant is to determine "What does this client really want?". This is often more difficult than the project itself, because the client is not sure exactly what they may want to reach their goal.
Projects that have a lot of energy around them tend to drift across the gambit of opportunities with a number of perspectives being illuminated along the way. Usually these are the projects that tend to lack focus on the original goal under the guise of dynamics or such. As their consultant, we must discern the real want of the client by asking sometimes tough questions. Many times we find the client wants some completely different than their initial inquiry, because we have now made a clear definition of the goal. Once we understand their goal and the challenges before them, then and only then are we are able to help them develop the path forward. Helping our clients clearly define their overall goal is the most critical component of any of our projects. Not to do so would be remiss. We don't just simply answer questions without that understanding, whether that be a one hour call or a several month project. So often times we do role as kind of a management consultant to help the process along. Our clients really appreciate our approach, which is where we gain most of our business; word of mouth.
I and my small group of expert colleagues focus mainly on the refining, petrochemical and steel industries. We do, however, have access to a number of key people across several industries, so we have numerous projects that take us out of our personal scope of expertise. In these instances we draw off of each other's experiences as well as a plethora of informational resources, or we may actually decline the contract and help the client find a more suitable expert.
Clients come to us for a number of needs. Some will ask for a general consultation about an industrial application that simply gleans over the topic for an hour. Some may hire us for a full eight hour day for a deeper look at the topic. They will normally break these up into one to three sessions depending on the questions being asked. Finally, the client may have project(s) that last weeks or months and include everything from troubleshooting, market analysis, technical review, business plan, small capital ventures looking to partner with larger companies, HR for sales engineers, plant start-ups, plant shut-downs, plant T/A, plant expansions, process improvements, environmental compliance, water and energy conservation, water reuse design and a multitude of others.
We welcome them all, as we have extensive knowledge in all of the areas, or we do not accept the contract. We do, however, want to make certain that our potential future client does have help with his current project. If we find that we are not the best fit for the project, we will then reach out to our colleagues in the field to help the client find that expert, as a good faith measure.
We focus on a win-win proposition. We are happy to sign any NDAs or other contractual agreements for the client's legal reasons, but we still believe that our unyielding integrity is what brings and keeps our clients. We still believe in doing business with a handshake before and after any ***** cation
