Shai Spetgang is a project developer and project manager in the CleanTech space. Shai has marketed and managed the design, build, own and operations of projects in Canada totaling 56 MW of co/tri-generation energy production. Shai has participated in Distributed Energy Generation projects and Demand Response programs.

Shai has managed the Ontario Environment Industry Association, interacting with over 500 companies in Ontario and around the world. Shai has written government grants for CleanTech companies. Shai has consulted to the Israel Economic Mission in Canada to assist Israeli CleanTech companies in their participation in the Canadian CleanTech market. Shai, at the request of the Canadian Government, has advised the Government of Indonesia on the development of their environment industry.

Shai has served as Executive Director of the Canadian Environmental Markets Association whose objective is to inform the Canadian business community of Clean Development Mechanisms (CMD) related opportunities. Shai is a founding board member of Canfei Nesharim, the International Orthodox Jewish environmental educational group and a past Chair of the Jewish Nature Centre of Canada. Shai possesses a Bachelor’s of Environmental Studies Honors degree from York University. Shai has studied at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies. Shai is fluent in Hebrew.
