I am pursuing Ph. D. in the Department of Pharmacoinformatics at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research ( ***** ), Mohali, Punjab, INDIA, which is going to complete in August 2011. ***** is one of the premier institutes providing the excellence in studies in the field of Pharmaceutical education and research Department of Pharmacoinformatics was established; with the objectives of teaching the science and art of “New Millennium Drug Discovery” for faster drug development; to integrate the modern information technology with biological, chemical and pharmaceutical science to face the challenges of drug discovery and development by exploiting the advantages of the modern fields like Bioinformatics, Chemoinformatics, Database Management, Molecular Modeling, Pharmacy Informatics, IPR Issues, Biostatistics, pharmacy informatics, clinical informatics etc.
I am well versed in Computational Chemistry/Cheminformatics specially 2D&3D QSAR/QSPR, ligand- and structure-based Virtual Screening, Data Mining, homology modeling, docking, molecular dynamics and quantum chemical calculations. I have used almost all standard software packages for drug discovery like Sybyl, Schrodinger suite, Pipeline Pilot, Discovery Studio, MOE also GROMACS, NAMD etc. Also, I have completed my masters (M. Sc. ) in the Organic Chemistry, and worked in the natural product isolation and synthesis in CIMAP, lucknow.
