I am a biotechnologist by education and molecular biologist and protein biochemist by training. Over the years, I have acquired ample scientific knowledge and have established a solid foundation both in theoretical and experimental sciences. I have extensive experience in molecular biology and protein chemistry that is ready to be applied to a complex biological system. I have worked in one of the advanced labs and gained experience in biological and biomedical research, as well as drug discovery. I hope that I will be able to apply my expertise and experience to the research projects.
Employed as Senior Scientist (Deputy Manager) in a leading biotec based biopharmaceutical company since two years where I am leading a project for development of fully human monoclonal antibody library and also working on therapeutic monoclonal antibodies.
> Screening/Biopanning of library against desired targets (Antigens, Receptors etc) to develop fully Human therapeutic proteins, Vaccines and monoclonal antibodies.
> Cloning, expression and functional characterisation of screened monoclonal antibody (scfv) in E.coli, Pichia, or mammalian (CHO) expression system.
> Cloning, overexpression, screening high producing clones of various biogenerics/biosimilar drugs available.
Worked as post-doctoral research scientist MHH, Hannover, Germany for one year and worked on:
> Analysis of secretory factors released by bone marrow and blood after acute myocardial infarction and the identification of those therapeutic proteins that could be used to enhance tissue regeneration after myocardial infarction.
> Cloning and functional characterization of chemokine GDF-15 promoter using genome walking, transfection into various cell lines and cell culture assays.
8 months work experience in structural biology deparment, HZI, braunschweig and worked on:
> Structural modeling and characterization of proteins using bioinformatic tools.
Ph.D. (Biotechnology) from CDRI, Lucknow. During Ph.D., involved in cloning, overexpression, purification and structural and function charcterisation of therapeutic proteins.

> Molecular Biology Techniques: PCR, DNA Sequencing, Gene Cloning and Overexpression of the protein in bacterial, mammalian and yeast expression systems, Northern, Southern and Western blotting, Real Time PCR, Chromosome walking, Yeast signal Peptide Trap method and Microarray.
> Cell culture techniques: Culture and maintenance of various types of mammalian cell lines. Preparation of macrophages and cardiomyocytes from mice. Transformation and transfection of mammalian cells with various plasmids and adeno virus vectors.
> Biochemical techniques: Protein purification through the use of various chromatographic techniques viz. Size Exclusion, Hydrophobic, Ion Exchange, Affinity Chromatography. Enzyme Assays, Native/Denaturing PAGE, Chemical Modification and Chemical Cross-linking of proteins.
> Animal handling: Hands on experience on various mice models including in vivo studies.
> Biophysical Techniques: Spectofluorimetry, Circular Dichroism, Spectrophotometer, MALDI-TOF Mass Spectroscopy, in-silico methods required for structural characterization of protein.
