Steve is president of ***** Advisors, where he advises clients on corporate development strategy and execution, including growth strategies and M&A with a focus on media and technology.
Most recently, he was Vice President, International and Emerging Businesses (New Ventures), for The Weather Channel Interactive where he started a successful M&A program, oversaw new growth opportunities and businesses, including international business, **** and ***** , a vacation home rental site. Steve helped drive growth through internal and offshore product development, business development (web, wireless carriers, international JV) for international web and mobile properties in Europe, Asia, Latin America, two start-up businesses, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and evaluation, planning and launching new business opportunities for TWCi.
Prior to joining The Weather Channel, Steve was with Servidyne, Inc. , which acquired iTendant where he was CEO and co-founder. iTendant was a leading provider of SaaS based web and wireless guest and tenant service request, work order and maintenance solutions for hotels, office buildings and corporate facilities, founded in 2000 and acquired by Servidyne in April 2004. Previously Steve was with Stern Stewart & Co. , a management consulting firm specializing in value-based management, where he was a Vice President, advising clients and leading engagements to increase shareholder value through corporate and financial strategy, value-based management, mergers & acquisitions, and the design and implementation of Stern Stewart’s proprietary EVA® framework for decision making and incentives in a variety o ***** , including media, technology, and manufacturing. Prior to that Steve was Vice President, Development of the Architectural Products Group of Oldcastle, Inc. a Global 500, where he was responsible for a successful M&A program, strategy and planning. Earlier in his career, Steve was a systems consultant with Watson Wyatt, where he designed and programmed PC and mainframe systems.
Steve holds an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia and a B. S. in management systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was a founding board member of the Warren T. Jackson Education Foundation.
