Steven is a Project Manager in the Operations team within ***** , whom he has worked for since late 2005. He supports regional businesses to access finance to deliver projects that reduce carbon emissions.

This includes delivering a programme within the ***** Low Carbon Investment Fund, which invests in projects that save on raw materials, energy and water consumption as well as reducing waste. Steven also provides a vital link to businesses looking to access advice and support from other financial and business development sources. Steven has developed relationships with regional funding and investment partners and advises businesses on the steps needed to help secure this investment.

Steven line manages a small team of project managers who provide cross cutting support on research and data provision, and planning and licensing - expertise which can help projects to become investment ready.

Steven has managed a wide range of projects in his time at ***** , with specific expertise provided to the plastics sector. Investments he has managed over the last 18 months are projected to deliver over 20, 00 tonnes of CO2savings by April 2012, creating 10 jobs and generating over £750, 00 of gross value added (GVA). Over the next year he will continue managing projects that are successful in applying to the Low Carbon Investment Fund, and supporting business to access the finance they need to grow.

Prior to joining ***** , Steven began his career by spending a year in the manufacturing sector focussing on waste and energy related issues for a textiles business. He then spent over six years working in waste management consultancy, managing a diverse range of projects for clients including Yorkshire Forward, WRAP, Waterstones, Defra, The Crown Estate, Halfords, and numerous local authorities. During this time, Steven also worked as an environmental advisor for Envirowise providing audit support to the manufacturing sector on resource efficiency issues.
