EXPERIENCE CHRONOLOGY:
 Currently working as SENIOR SATELLITE ENGINEER since March 2010 with Bahrain Radio & Television Corporation - BTV & Government Divisions; through NS Consultants – Bahrain.

Job responsibilities as a Head for transmission station at BRTC: Broadcast Engineering Management & transmission operations. Resource Management & optimization for international & turnaround services. Liaison with different service providers for routine telecast & content contribution/distribution like Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), GlobeCast & British Telecom etc.
Looking after all broadcast operations including Satellite earth station, Baseband, MCR, Compression, Studio to final transmission chain etc. Uplink & downlink of all concerned channel’s contents in various platforms DVB-S & T, SD, HDTV and Ku, DBS & C band e. g. BTV Bouquet, Bahrain Sports, Reuters, APTN & AFN etc.
Reporting of all transmission station’s & O. B. Engineers. Upward communication to Director Technical Affairs-BRTC.

 MANAGER at ***** ***** - India (July 2000 to February 2010):
Previously worked with ***** News Ltd. A Leading Hindi, Business News & TV channel’s broadcaster company of ***** ***** as MANAGER – COMMUNICATION (July 2000 to February 2010) posted at Main Broadcast Centre (Noida - India).

Job responsibilities as a Head of the department for Satcom, RF transmission, News Gathering & all central broadcasting hub operations at ***** ***** :

Upward communication/reporting directly to Sr. VP-Operations / Technical Head.
Resource management, analyze & cost effective planning for new projects.
Planning, designing, deployment, configuration, testing & demonstration of all types of Broadcast & transmission systems.
Management of all RF equipments, Transmission site survey, commissioning, frequency planning & Live transmission through VSAT, OB Vans, HFC & various mobile transmission systems etc.
Job responsibilities include installation, commissioning and maintenance of various types of transmission links.
Responsible for department P&L. Involving in RFP, RFQ, RFI & renewal of Annual Maintenance Contracts, which expire from time to time. Coordinate with service providers & Vendors for AMC, RRP, SLA, KPI, OLA for Systems upgradation & new procurements.
Managing Shift Duties of transmission station’s engineers as well as DSNG engineers & technicians.
Troubleshooting & all kind of technical support related to ***** . Supervision & Monitoring of all the ***** s and provide the support to Assignment desk & other user departments.
Coordination with various transmission stations and service providers like VSNL, Reliance, NOCC, BSNL and Essel Shyam etc. to ensure smooth operation of the ***** . Working upon Satellite Transmission dealing with WAN & LAN ***** s including SCPC, MCPC, TDMA/TDM, Hughes, iDirect, SkyEdge & Harris platforms.

Prior to being here I was Incharge for direct connectivity project of ***** ***** . Other job responsibilities included looking after the coaxial cable/OFC- ***** & distribution of Siti Cable ***** Ltd. / WWIL for CATV & ISP. Besides these I have successfully troubleshooted many faults & problems for various Terrestrial/VSAT transmission sites, NOC, SNG Vans & OFC, which occurred from time to time in Broadcast Transmission ***** s.
