The product at the heart of this project is complex and multi-faceted, and our client has identified 72 independent variables that might influence the purchasing decision. Our client desires an algorithm to predict whether a customer will buy the product after learning the purchase price, and is providing a substantial database of over 600,000 past transactions with 72 independent variables as training data to help with this task. In addition, a database of over 700,000 transactions is provided for development and validation purposes and will be used for real-time online algorithm scoring. An online leaderboard will be available to provide feedback on performance relative to other algorithms. This is a reduction-to-practice challenge that requires submission of algorithm output for scoring, a written proposal, and a detailed description of the proposed algorithm. $20,000 is on offer the best algorithm and submissions must be made before the 18th january 2016. You will then need to register on the platform to see the full requirements and criteria and to submit.

Equity curve is nothing but the running total of this 10 data ie -5,5,25,21,23,28,25,24,18,28. After running the equity curve we see the lowest point. In this case it is -5. We want to run permutaion with replacement of those 10 datas and create many equity curves and select the lowest point from each permuation. After that we want to select the lowest point with probablity of say 1 in 1000.Ie from the whole permutaion, the probablity of getting lowest point than the selected value is beyond 1 in 1000.
