Pacemaker

I've had my pacemaker for about 5 years now. In 2011 i got an examination and my test results showed that everything looked alright. The reason i got it was because i had a swimming incident and during my test results it showed that i had long qt syndrome and that it would be best if i got the pacemaker. So basically they put it in just because they thought it would be safe. Whenever i ask if it's possible to have taken out my doctor says that he doesn't know for sure

Heart Pacemaker Malfunction

I have a client whose husband had a st. Jude pacemaker. They live directly beneath high voltage power transmission lines and the pacemaker is documented on july 6, 2010, as "pacemaker mediated tachycardia has occurred." they went to see the cardiologist, and a technician spend an hour attempting to adjust the pacemaker settings, but there is no documented measurement of his blood pressure during this visit. He continued to feel ill and was admitted to the er a week later with very high blood pressure and died after admission to the hospital of a hemorrhagic stroke. In order to file a case i need a report whether the pacemaker malfunction contributed to cause the hemorrhagic stroke.

Cardiology

I am looking for your expert opinion on the industry news below and a written response that is one to three paragraphs long. Your response may be used in an article that i will write and post on the zintro site. You will be named in the article and a link to your expert profile will be included. Your contribution is voluntary (there is no direct payment involved, but you will get lots of traffic to your expert profile). If interested, please send me your response via znotes within the next one or two days. Researchers tested an energy-converting device that runs on piezoelectricity and showed that it generated more than 10 times the power required by modern pacemakers. They concluded that our own beating heart may generate enough electricity to power a heart-regulating pacemaker, ending the need for expensive surgeries to replace expiring batteries. Will it be possible to integrate the technology into implantable cardiac devices? This is a great marketing opportunity to get your name and expert opinion published on our blog. Here is a sample: http://blog.Zintro.Com/2012/09/glaxos-new-triple-thepary-for-emphysema/ please include your full name, we will link it to your expert profile, getting you more presence on zintro. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you! idil kan
