I am an editorial assistant from **** books and **** publishing, which are international co-edition publishers based in brighton, uk and part of the **** group. We are co-edition publishers of high-quality illustrated books for the general reader and have a great deal of experience producing all types of general interest books. We take great care with every project to commission and combine the best artwork, photography and other material to highlight and clarify the author's text. We have a particular focus on general reference.
I wanted to contact potential authors to discuss a book opportunity. We are developing a concept for a book called the little book of 3d printing. This will be a joyous and inspirational celebration of 3d printing in all its fascinating forms, offering an engaging insight into its wide range of groundbreaking processes. We want the book to include galleries of jaw-dropping examples showcasing the amazing results that can be achieved, with brief profiles throughout the book to offer an insight into the working practices of a range of designers.
**** publishing both work on the packaging model. This means that we generate an idea for a book, create sample material for a presentation and then sell that book project to other publishers who will order a certain number of copies, and then we create the book to order. The book idea has to sell in three english language territories before being made and is then translated into a number of languages and sold worldwide more gradually. This model requires the publisher to retain copyright of the book to preserve its integrity as a product. This means that the author is commissioned and paid for his/her writing but does not receive royalties. His/her name would feature on the outside of the book as normal and it would be available on amazon and in book stores.
The book on 3d printing is currently in the presentation stage and we are looking to bring a potential author on board within the next few days. Ideally, the author should be a demonstrable expert in 3d printing, have a blog or online presence that exceeds 1,500 followers on any social networking site, and experience providing 3d printing instruction in courses or workshops is desirable.+3 Other Responses
