We have developed a fitness machine that connects to an ios or android app via bluetooth low energy. We have tested it extensively and have not had any problems with the connection, until recently.
We have installed a machine into a facility, and the bluetooth regularly disconnects.
We have tested the same machine in many other locations, using same hardware and software, and there is no problem. We have concluded that it must be something to do with the environment in this facility.
Do you have any idea what kind of other wireless signals can cause interrupted bluetooth connection? We have tested in other environments that use wifi, other bluetooth connections etc. But there is no problem.
Other than relocate our machines, there may not be anything we can do to change the environment. Do you know any methods to make the connection more reliable?

murray

I am looking for some help identifying what (bt) i would need for an android or ios to be able to make an audible sound (like a ringtone) come through the speakers of a car. Unlike bluetooth audio where the person has to switch the cars infotainment system to bluetooth audio before it patches through, i just want to make it so if someone has a customized ringtone they can hear it from the car as well. Any suggestions on how this can happen?

We have a personal emergency response button and we are utilizing bluetooth 4.0 in conjunction with a samsung android handset, as well as, an iphone. My supplier has no problem writing the drivers; however, they are struggling with one of my requirements and for that reason i believe that i need an outside engineer that can resolve said issue. The issue is the range of the ios and android handsets seem to be 40 meters and the range for the pers pendant is 120 meters. My engineers are telling me that the range is dictated by the shortest of the two, meaning the range can only be 40 meters as dictated by the handset. I would like to see if there is a way that we can transmit an emergency signal through bluetooth 4.0 and have the handset recognize that signal to trigger an event. So basically one-way transmission that would be recognized by our handset. If anyone has a resolution for this issue i would be happy to hire them for resolution.
Thanks,
peabody

Hello, i am looking for someone with an understanding of the feasibility of using bluetooth to activate heat sensors. Essentially, i want to know if bluetooth could be used in accordance with a phone app, and that bluetooth connection could then activate the heat. I want to integrate this idea into a business i am starting, and i want to know if it can happen. Also how small can the bluetooth get?
