Dsp Interfacing And Programming

I am looking for dsp embedded and programming engineer. I am trying to develop a programming code that will process two audio signals in real time. I have an music signal a coming from the speaker and signal b measured by a microphone. The audio signal from the microphone contains the music from the speaker and some background noise. I need an algorithm and program code that will subtract the signal a(music) from the signal b (music+background noise) to get the level of noise present. B(music+background noise) - signal a (music) = background noise . . . .

Signal Processing

When our ambulance transports a sick patient, we are able to acquire a large amount of data (like heart rate, oxygen level, respiration rate, carbon dioxide levels, ) every 10 seconds. I am able to graph the data, but i am hoping that someone with signal processing expertise might be able to recommend/develop a method where the graph can be simplified, so that trends can be more easily seen. Thanks - robert

Speech Recognition Consumer Devices

I work for a major consumer electronics company. This question relates to speech recognition, in particular, consumer devices that use speech recognition as a user interface. Many of these devices use a wake up word to initiate the conversation (e.G. “alexa” for amazon’s echo). The processing to recognize that word is done locally. We’d like to understand what software resources are typically used to implement the wake word as well as the processing/memory/dsp resources are necessary.

A digital signal processor (DSP or DSP micro) is a specialized microprocessor designed specifically for digital signal processing, generally in real-time computing. Digital signal processing (DSP) is concerned with the representation of the signals by a sequence of numbers or symbols and the processing of these signals. Digital signal processing and analog signal processing are subfields of signal processing. DSP includes subfields like: audio and speech signal processing, sonar and radar signal processing, sensor array processing, spectral estimation, statistical signal processing, digital image processing, signal processing for communications, biomedical signal processing, seismic data processing, etc. Since the goal of DSP is usually to measure or filter continuous real-world analog signals, the first step is usually to convert the signal from an analog to a digital form, by using an analog to digital converter. Often, the required output signal is another analog output signal, which requires a digital to analog converter. DSP algorithms have long been run on standard computers, on specialized processors called digital signal processors (DSPs), or on purpose-built hardware such as application-specific integrated circuit (ASICs). Today there are additional technologies used for digital signal processing including more powerful general purpose microprocessors, field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), digital signal controllers (mostly for industrial apps such as motor control), and stream processors, among others.
