I am working on a project to map out the "music ecosystem" - particularly relating to live music / concerts. My ultimate goal is to createa "market maps" that show every possible "path" a ticket to an event could take from creation to consumption - and the influence, economics, and role of each stakeholder in the process.
My preliminary list of experts i'd like to talk would be:
- artist management / artist - anyone on artist team who has/had decision rights on ticket allocations, concert schedule/venues, interactions with promoters / booking agents
- venue (or company owning venues) operations team - owner, talent buyer, or ticketing manager - anyone who has/had decision rights on ticket allocations, concert schedule, arrangements with promoters / booking agents
- booking agent(s) - preferably with a range of geographic, genre, and venue size experience
- concert promoters - national and regional players who contract with artists/venues to promote shows/tours/events
ideally i would talk to several of each of these types of contacts.+14 Other Responses

habitat restoration, improvement, and creation in rivers, streams, and estuaries are key elements for the recovery of salmon, trout, and other critical fish species in the united states. Millions of dollars are spent annually on activities such as manipulating flow regimes, adding structural elements such as wood or rock, reconnecting rivers with their floodplains, and restoring wetlands. A critical aspect in evaluating the effectiveness of these habitat manipulations is understanding how they influence the food resources available to critical fish species targeted for recovery and protection. Yet despite its importance, quantification of food resources has proven difficult.
Our client is seeking a way to economically detect, count, and identify zooplankton and drift invertebrates in river and estuary systems. Oceanographic techniques exist, however problems with transferring these to rivers and streams are higher water velocities, turbidity, higher surface/depth ratio, and costs (time and money).
This theoretical challenges requires the submission of a written proposal, and offers a $30,000 prize pool.
If you are interested in participating in the challenge, please reply back via zintro and i will send you the required information.+3 Other Responses
