Flywheel Energy Storage (fes)

I am contacting you because you mentioned that you have knowledge on fes. In pakistan we have load shedding in which electricity is shut off every two hours for one hour. In this case people use generators or ups (uninterrupted power system). But i have studied fes technology and i feel it is excellent for the people here and can help reduce the stress on the power lines, thus reducing power load shedding for pakistan. There is a company in us that has installed fes plant for storing electricity in off peak hours, and their flywheel equipment can be used for homes. A bigger home will utilize upto 5kva for entire hour. Can you tell me if you can help me introduce fes technology in pakistan, find a suitable supplier? Would fes be used in homes as a ups unit? I have read on the fes unit manufacturers website that the equipment they make requires no maintenance, except changing of the bearing wheels after a few years. Would that be true? Sincerely shahryar khan

Metal-air Battery

We're looking for a battery expert to use metal air batteries to evacuate oxygen in a closed container. We're interested in oxygen consumption, not electrical power. The selected battery must not produce any harmful waste. Specifically: 1) determine the type of metal-air battery that consumes the most oxygen at the fastest rate (zinc, aluminum, lithium, etc.) 2) determine voltage and current parameters for maximum oxygen consumption. 3) specify metal-air battery size based on requirements. 4) source manufacturing companies. . .

Storing of some form of energy that can be drawn upon at a later time to perform some useful operation. A device that stores energy is sometimes called an accumulator. All forms of energy are either potential energy (eg. chemical, gravitational or electrical energy) or kinetic energy (eg. thermal energy).
