Laminated Veneer Lumber

Are there standards for accurately measuring the moisture content in lvl (laminated veneer lumber). Similarly, are there standards with regards to seasonal tolerances associated to “movement” of the lvl, if any. My product, fiberglass doors, are manufactured in china and sold and distributed through north america. They contain lvl comprised of willow derived from russia. The lvl is 4 on the left and right side styles and 1.5 on the top and bottom rails. I am having difficulty with one particular new construction customer with respect to our doors “moving” or “bowing”. I have another new construction customer who buys the same volume and whom i have yet to experience any negativity towards our product with them. Between the two customers, it goes from one extreme to another. 100+ “warped” doors in the field to absolutely 0 calls on the other hand. They are blaming the movement on lvl moisture content. I am trying to educate myself as best as possible, to north american standards, in order to fight this battle. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Fiberglass Composites

I am about to manufacture a special complex urinal and want to know if the shape can actually be made in frp/grp? If made in 1 mold the resin would need to dry upside down. Also want to get an idea on how quick each urinal can be molded? This will tell me how many molds will be required. Approximately what would each unit cost to make?

Prepreg

We make marine stabilised antenna which is covered by fiberglass radome. For new project we are using prepreg from hexcel and our supplier has produced 2 radomes (61 inch in dia). I am looking for someone who has experience in fine tuning prepreg production or large size parts with consistance. I am looking for material and process expert. Fiberglass Insulation

To whom it may concern: i am leading a study on the economics of residential insulation manufacturing in the united states and canada as part of an effort to develop new insights on the building materials industry. I would like to speak briefly with plant managers, research and development personnel, process engineers, and others with significant residential fiberglass manufacturing experience who can provide detailed insights at the facility level, on how differences in processes, technologies, locations, suppliers, and material inputs directly translate into changes in production operating costs. The goal of our interviews is to leverage your knowledge and experience to identify and understand the key differentiating attributes between residential insulation manufacturing facilities. Our areas of focus include manufacturing technologies, plant personnel, sourcing and materials, energy consumption, distribution networks, and day-to-day plant operations. Our objective is to use these interviews to inform a perspective on the economics of residential insulation manufacturing and how they differ across products and producers. If you think your background would fit well with this role and you would be available to talk in next several days, please let me know. Thank you, steve . .
