background: an esteemed fortune 500 healthcare client wishes to start working with the company touchcast, in order to make adhoc videos - https://www.Touchcast.Com/. They have not yet started working with touchcast, but are considering a pilot. Before going into any sort of long term contract, they are interested to see if there are other options available and if yes, they would consider running an rfi/rfp process. The main area of focus will be smart video creation. They want to be able to save the video and send out to employees as another way of communication, rather than just using email.

Our company develops a cctv (videosurveillance) product of our own. Recently we have been working on a full rebuild of our core platform to support h.264 recording and live streaming of ip cctv camera's.
The basic principle: streaming h.264 video for live streaming using one (low quality) h.264 stream of the camera, a second live stream of the camera (high quality) to record the video in mkv file format to disk. For all the streaming related back-end we use gstreamer. The back end is written in c++, the business logic (configuring streams, receiving motion detection events and other less performace-critical modules are written in python. Front-end is built in javascript / angular.Js. The video streaming is handled by a ppapi plugin in chrome, also using gstreamer.
We have found that we lack some knowledge on the gstreamer / rstp / videostreaming and are looking for an expert on gstreamer that we can use for consultancy, and optionally for development work.. please feel free to contact me if you have additional questions

We are currently using adobe media server and red5 for streaming. It is working using adobe flex and encoding h.264. Now, we would like to improve audio/video quality, and have multi-bit rate with low latency. Some issues: 1. Our existing audio/video in h.264 adobe flex rtmp encoding is pixelating during movements. 2. When encoding with ffmpeg for mbr there is latency of 3 to 5 seconds . How to reduce latency for live interactive sessions? 3. We are having some audio issues. With aac audio we get more latency. With 2 audio inputs, it seems to get unstable and crash.
