An employee-owned consulting firm is currently seeking an entrepreneurial leader for their rocks mechanics group. As principle rock mechanics engineer, you will be responsible for servicing current global clients and growing the business further. This position will be for their downtown vancouver, b.C office.
As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for managing projects and providing engineering consultation on all aspects of rock mechanics engineering. This will include surface and underground rock mechanics projects including, but not limited, to dams, tunnels, underground caverns, rock foundations, cut slopes, rock fall problems. You will also supervise, mentor, and train project engineers and work with other senior members in a relatively flat hierarchical structure.
For a successful application, you must have a engineering degree and be a registered engineer in the province of b.C. (p.Eng). Must have demonstrable rocks mechanics experience within a similar working environment. Willingness to travel, both nationally and internationally is essential. As a principle rock mechanics consultant, you would be expected to develop and maintain client relationships and work in a team environment. Strong communication skills and interpersonal capabilities are essential.
